HOGWARTS’ UNDERWORLD | COSA NOSTRA {ZABINI FAMIGLIA} | SONG QIAN VICTORIA
“I used to have no memories of my parents. None… They’re coming back, my memories. But they’re coming back too fast— all at once. That probably sums up a small portion of why I’m like this.”
Song Qian, better known as Victoria, is among those who are extremely caring and motherly. Despite her loving personality, she also brings out the dorky and playful side of her, becoming one who adores childish things. If overdone, however, expect her to be one who’s most likely to become stubborn and annoyed.
Before coming to Hogwarts, Victoria lived 17 long years in China. She was born and raised in Qingdao but later moved to Beijing; where she attended of the most prestigious schools in China. Although she knew of her birthplace, Victoria grew up with no memories of her parents. Her grandparents raised her in parent’s stead, doing everything they could despite their old age. The only they could never seem to work out, however, was the safest way of telling her what happened with her and her parents in her younger years. Victoria, being one not to pry, eventually gave up on trying to get her grandparents to spill the bean, understanding that all she would get out of it were arguments and bad relationships.
During her years as a 17-year-old were when her life started to change. She’d gotten an invitation to Hogwarts, which was given to her by her very own principle. Her friends that day had heard of the news and tried coming up with English names that she could use during her time in London. After much debate, they finally settled with Victoria; a Latin word that translated to victory in English. It was a weird process, coming up with that name, but she couldn’t recall ever resenting it. Victoria was a name given to her by her very own friends, and it was surely something she wouldn’t stop using until she’d been back in China.
Coming to Hogwarts wasn’t too bad of a choice— for Victoria anyway. Her life became very busy and connection with family and friends back home started to dwindle. But she took every minute she spent in Hogwarts and deemed it important, eventually finding herself involved with challenges that she’d never thought she had the guts to do. Nonetheless, she accepted it. Not as a blessing or a curse but as her new life under the code name that carried old memories; Song Victoria.
